The Morris Moor Car Park features space for 600 cars by day, while at night and on weekends functioning as a destination for cultural events – from festivals and night markets, to supercar shows.
As part of a strategy to further elevate and maximise the opportunities of the space, we were engaged to create environmental graphics to function on a number of levels. The first aim was to safely orientate drivers and pedestrians through wayfinding. The second aim was to introduce visual branding to activate the expansive walls and floor areas, while working within the physical and economic constraints of such a large volume of space.
We devised a monochromatic graphic theme of large scale numeral markers to identify parking zones, along with directional signage across multiple surfaces, culminating in a flexible space that further extends on the Morris Moor brand.
